Sarah Hanner hopwood

I'm a self-taught creative, inspired by the hills of Wales, the majestic Scottish Highlands and Islands, and colours of the Mediterranean. My love of the outdoors and the human connection with the wild motivates my landscapes; using whatever tools I find to mark out undulations, colours, mood and the occasional pathway.

My imagined landscape paintings are layered using collage, watercolour and cotton, or can be just simple watercolour. My style is achieved not often by brushes but by using other found objects to tease and play with the water and pigment to blend and lead colours

I work full-time for the NHS which I love, so painting has to be part time for now. I exhibit regularly across England and I am delighted to be a part of West Oxs Arts.
