Date/time: Monday 20 April, 2.00 - 5.00 pm
Venue: West Ox Arts gallery Tutor: Tricia Waples
An introduction to the highly addictive and rewarding art of sock knitting for knitters who are already fairly confident. We will work on a miniature sock and tackle all the essential skills: knitting in the round, creating an extra stretchy rib, turning the heel, and grafting the toe using Kitchener stitch. Needles, yarn and pattern are provided for the workshop and you can buy the needles at cost price so you can get started on your first pair of full-size socks as soon as you get home!
West Ox Arts Gallery is a bright and inspiring venue showcasing the work of contemporary artists, designers, and craftmakers. Our aim is to provide a stimulating experience in the visual arts. We are situated on the first floor of the Grade II listed Town Hall in Bampton, Oxfordshire; a picturesque Cotswold town that is famous as the fictitious Downton Village, about five miles from Witney. Enjoy free admission, four hours' free parking directly outside, disabled access and free wi-fi.
