About us
West Ox Arts is a not-for-profit arts organisation with the aim of promoting knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the arts in West Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.
Our mission is to promote contemporary art and provide a platform for emerging and established artists. We are proud of our inclusive, open membership policy which gives everyone, whatever their art, craft or skill level, the opportunity to participate.

West Ox Arts has been a feature of Bampton life for many decades. We hope that with your help and support it will continue to be an important part of our Community. We are always looking for volunteers so if you would like to be involved when we re-open and you have time to spare, please get in touch.
We consider the gallery to be Oxfordshire's finest and lightest exhibition space. We have an open membership – if you are interested in becoming a member, find out more about the benefits here. We welcome approaches from all artists, whether members or not, wishing to exhibit with us. Find out more about exhibiting with us here, or get in touch if you want to discuss an idea for an exhibition or workshop: [email protected].
Our free-to-visit exhibitions change on a regular basis and our permanent, well-stocked shop sells a wide range of locally made contemporary arts and crafts along with greeting cards and art work of all kinds.
We rely on the generosity of our volunteers, staff and trustees to showcase new, emerging and established artists, and to curate inspiring exhibitions in our gallery. If you are interested in volunteering or supporting us, get in touch: [email protected].
Located in the heart of Bampton, we were founded in 1973. Find out more about our history.
