I have been making ceramics off and on since my early twenties, initially, throwing domestic ware and later slab built architectural pieces. I moved away from clay after some years and turned to making and successfully selling silver jewellery. When a pottery class started up close by I decided to try it out again and haven’t looked back since. I rediscovered hand building sculptural ceramics. Hand building allows the construction of asymmetrical very individual clay work. Although I like building large pieces some of my hull shape work is small enough to sit in the palm of your hand.
