I have recently retired from a varied career spanning Purchasing, Management and Administration roles. I previously worked for British Telecom purchasing Test Equipment and more recently as an Administrator at a local Primary School.
Since retiring I have been embracing my creative side and have been exploring new areas of art. This has been a life-saver during a long period of shielding. My other interests are walking in the wonderful countryside in our area where, incidentally, I often collect items for my printing process. I also enjoy gardening and reading. I am an organic artist, inspired by nature, using items found in nature, stencils, stamps and everyday objects to make patterns for my acrylic mixed media abstracts. These pieces are made on a variety of surfaces including watercolour paper, rice and deli paper. I love added collage elements and hand inking to my work. Each art work is individual and unique. I am in addition a crafter of hand-bound journals suitable for journalling, sketching and watercolour. I offer a custom made service for albums, guest books, baby and wedding books. I was featured in The Faringdon Advertiser in their new business section and have been exhibiting at The Faringdon Tourist Information Centre as their Artist of The Month.
