Picture
I attended Moseley School of Art, in Birmingham and then Birmingham College of Art, 2 years full-time and a further 4 years, on a part time basis whilst I completed an apprenticeship with a progressive Printing Company,  From then I spent several years as a qualified Graphic Designer.  I  changed career to Youth and Community Work, and
worked in a variety of settings in the Voluntary and Statutory sectors. During this time I had ample opportunity to keep my hand in designing Posters and Literature.

In 1990  I was pleased to accept early retirement and with this the chance to concentrate on Painting, first in Derbyshire and currently in Highworth, Wiltshire.

I presently use a variety of media, Oil, Watercolour, and acrylic, and a “marbling” technique in a way unique to Myself. I am currently experimenting with Acrylic flow and Alcohol Ink techniques and I aim to cover a wide range of subject-matter.  I believe that my early training in draughtsmanship and perspective can be traced beneath a diversity of styles and treatments!
