Trish is a self-taught, emerging mixed-media artist based in Oxfordshire. Her practice centres on the sea as a vital, life-sustaining force. Through layered mixed-media techniques, she explores the ocean’s physical and psychological pull.
She has exhibited locally and continues to expand her presence within the regional art community and more widely, having recently had work accepted by a gallery in Fowey, Cornwall. A member of West Oxfordshire Arts and Oxfordshire ArtWeeks, she is developing a growing body of work that reflects her ongoing fascination with the natural world and humanity’s enduring relationship with the sea. My work explores the sea as both a physical force and an emotional landscape. For me, the sea represents one of the essential building blocks of life, a place where beginnings are held, where stories are carried, and where our own inner tides seem to echo its rhythms. Working in mixed media allows me to layer materials in ways that mirror the layers of the sea itself. Depths we cannot see, currents we cannot touch, and energies we can only sense. I use texture, translucency, and movement to capture both the serenity and the volatility of the sea, and to reflect how our emotional states often mirror it. I work intuitively and emotionally. If it doesn't feel right, then it's not right. I was selected for the Oxford Art Society Open Call in 2023. I exhibit at Dolphin Gallery, Wantage The Old Bank Gallery, Fowey, Cornwall. In 2025 I had an article in Ox in a Box and a double page feature in OX Magazine.
