I have loved art in all its forms since the age of 16 when I first visited Rome and was introduced to all the wonderful Renaissance and Baroque art everywhere.
I’ve experienced many types of 2D as well as 3D arts and crafts over the years, having studied on a Foundation Course at Abingdon and Witney College in 2010 as well as an extended Advanced Textile Course for 4 years from 2016. I’ve done many short courses including several at Sunningwell School of Art, Oxford Summer School of Arts and Crafts, Ardington School of Crafts and St Ives School of Painting. I now enjoy a mixed media approach with a particular love of charcoal, graphite, oil pastels, watercolour tubes and oil paints. I am first and foremost inspired by the sea in all its forms and moods as well as by the textures of a rocky landscape. However, having studied Botanical Art for a while I also love using colour and flowers in my work in a freely expressionistic way. I would describe my art today, as being driven by an emotional eclectic mixed media response to the natural world overall. Email: [email protected] |
