Fredrica craig
I create original, contemporary paintings inspired by the Cotswold countryside. My paintings are an exploration of the visual and emotional response to beautiful objects and landscapes. I enjoy exploring different mediums and surfaces but I work mainly in oil on canvas. I was born in Belfast and studied at Belfast College of Art. In the seventies I lived in Trinidad with my young family. I painted and exhibited with some of Trinidad’s foremost artists. When I returned to England in the eighties I joined Farnham Art Society but it wasn’t until I moved to a village near Woodstock that I felt I had arrived at my artistic home. I have exhibited in the Mall Galleries, The Wren Gallery in Burford,The Woodstock Museum and of course with WOA in Bampton. My aim is to keep an open mind and to produce unique paintings with particular attention given to colour, composition and dramatic light. I enjoy painting with other artists because I think it is useful to look at your painting through another person’s eyes and to consider their comments. I therefore work with two different groups every week where I enjoy their support and constructive criticism. Email: [email protected] Website: www.fredricacraig.com Instagram: 42freddarcy72 |
