Alison Blanchard ​

Alison is a glass artist based in Oxford. She mainly does fused glass but has also ventured into stained glass and cast glass.  Much of her fused glass art is inspired by nature and flowers.  She enjoys the challenge of recreating flowers in glass either as a 2D picture or in 3D. Her recent “Out of Africa” collection consists of a series of blocks combining printing techniques and stack fusing to create glass pictures that can stand alone and depict the big five. Colour is another passion of hers and beautiful sunsets have inspired her pendant collection. In addition, she makes various dishes and platters in a range of wonderful bold and vibrant colours.  ​
