In this session you will look at colour as an important element of composition. Through a series of exercises you will learn some of the properties of colour and how to use them to effect in your painting. You will refer to other artists’ painting, work on studies and from your own sketches using acrylics (the session will include some collage work and so oils are not suitable for this class). Suitable for beginners and those with some experience. This can follow on from the ‘Colour in painting: using a limited palette’ course or can be done as a one off.
