I am a traveller and photographer with an interest in social documentaries. Since a young age I have had opportunities to travel, helped by my curiosity to learn about other countries. There is nothing more exciting than to be in a far-off environment trying to uncover its secrets and photograph the people.
Although I enjoy taking people portraits, landscapes and fine art images, what I really like is capturing stories of people and document their lives; capturing those fleeting moments in life’s struggles that have a lasting effect. In recent years I have dedicated my photography to social documentary. They are all about bringing awareness to a wider audience of how others live.
Some of my well-known projects are on Women Workers in the informal sector, Nomadic Tribes of India and the Hijras (transgender) of India. These have been exhibited at various venues. Some of my photographs have been published in Journals and magazines and have also earned me awards in international competitions. Many of my prints are on the walls of private collectors. I sell prints individually or as a collection.
